Nina M: A Journey of Miracles

My name is Nina M*. I live in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan—and I am a woman profoundly loved by the Lord. My life is a testimony of His miracles!
In 1990, during the collapse of the Soviet Union, we had no work, no money, and no stability. My son had tuberculosis. We moved to a village to survive. I fell into a deep depression and did not want to live.
On a train to Siberia, I read an article about atoms—electrons and protons, positive and negative charges. And suddenly it was like lightning. If we are made of atoms, why do we move, love, and speak?
I understood: there is a Creator. He created me. He has a plan. He loves me. My depression disappeared.

For seven years I searched—in the Bible, the Qur’an, and philosophy. I thought I was wise. But when I read that Jesus died for me, I asked, ‘Why?’ I later understood my problem was pride. When I truly accepted Christ, miracles began.
God lifted our family out of poverty step by step. I began teaching Russian to foreigners. Then pastors encouraged me to create greeting cards. At 42 I learned English. At 46 I began painting. We opened a shop. Even at 66, I learned video editing.
Year after year, God continues to lift me—doing abundantly more than I ever expected!
Eight years ago, I likely had peritonitis. I was in terrible pain. My daughters came to the hospital and we sang worship songs. I heard in my mind, ‘Glory to God, here and now.’ I fell asleep. Thirty minutes later, I could stand. I refused surgery. God healed me in hours.
When our shop closed and we had no money, we were invited to Jerusalem. My daughter sold everything in one day. We went. I believe I saw Jesus twice.
Once in Germany, after missing an airport exit and nearly missing my flight, nothing dramatic happened—but I felt God gently redirected me. A very usual miracle.
Life with God is joyful. He shows small moments of His love—and sometimes great miracles that change everything. I believe part of being a Christian is learning to notice Him in both the small and the big, and to see His hand in every season of life.
