Westside Kids

Nurturing Children's Spiritual Growth in Christ
Serving Children and Families
We serve children from newborn through 5th grade, partnering with parents to nurture their spiritual growth.
Introducing Jesus, Teaching Truth
Our purpose is to introduce children to Jesus, teach them biblical truth, and equip them to live for Him.
Age-Appropriate, Engaging, Equipping
We engage through age-appropriate worship, immersive Bible lessons, small group discipleship, and hands-on ministry opportunities.
You're invited this Sunday
Join us on Sunday mornings for engaging, age-appropriate worship and teaching that will encourage your children's faith.
Adult worship at 8:30a and 11:00a.
- Children in 3rd grade and up participate in adult worship.
- Children in 2nd grade and below can be checked into Westside Kids for the duration of the service to participate in children's programming.
10:00a Equipping Hour*
- All children are welcome to participate in the 10:00 Equipping Hour for children’s worship. This a time in which children engage in the rhythms of worship that equip them to participate in the elements of worship that take place in the sanctuary each Sunday. There are two classrooms – one for elementary & one for preK worship. Nursery for 2 & under will be provided during this time as well
- Equipping classes follow a Sunday School-style format, offering adults a variety of topics taught over 6 to 12 weeks. Parents can choose to attend a class or relax in the café while their children participate in children's worshp.
To ensure adults can participate in the full gamut of Sunday programming, children are welcome to stay with us in Westside Kids for both services.
*Summer Schedule Change
- There will be no nursery or childcare during the 10:00a hour for the summer.
- Usual programming will resume on August 3.
Families are encourage to park towards the front of our building—the side closest to Collier Rd. A limited number of designated spots for new families are reserved at the front of the building.

We encourage you to check-in your children at the very front of our building, the side closest to Collier Rd. A dedicated greeter and check-in volunteer will be available to help walk you through the process.
Westside uses KidCheck to ensure all children within our care are safe and accounted for.

Westside Kids bathrooms are monitored at all times and are for children only.
We serve veggie straws and other allergy-friendly snacks on Sunday mornings. If your child has a food allergy, please let their leader know and note it on the check-in board outside their classroom.
Next Steps with Westside Kids
Sunday worship is just the start of true family worship. We've put together a few helpful resources to help your family stay engaged Monday-Saturday. Explore next steps through our weekly newsletter, baptism, or communicants class. Use our children's catechism to nurture biblical understanding at home.

Car + Table Talk
Want to dive deeper than "how was Westside Kids today?" Look no further than our weekly WK discussion guide, Car + Table Talk. Available Fall and Spring.

Baptism
We believe baptism is God's sign that a person is included among the people of God. Baptism is an act of obedience to Jesus' command, but it does not guarantee anyone's salvation.

Communicants Class
This class prepares young believers to publicly profess their faith and become communing members. Through interactive lessons, children explore church membership and communion.

The Children's Shorter Catechism
The children's catechism is a concise, age-appropriate tool for families to build a biblical foundation of Christian beliefs and values.
Serve Christ. Invest in Children.
Our children's ministry needs dedicated volunteers to nurture young believers, share the gospel, and model Christ-like faith.
