My reason for hope is God's provision even in my most challenging moments. When I am scared, feeling completely lost and broken, or longing for something, I find rest in the fact that he will provide according to his will which is greater than my own.

In particular, God has led me down the academic career path, where I've been studying, running labs and makerspaces, researching, and teaching at Georgia Tech for the last 10 years. This past year, I was encouraged to apply for a lecturing position in the mechanical engineering school. My initial reaction was of fear of rejection and uncertainty in God's will for my life; I decided to trust him and apply. I was offered the position, but the following semester was the most intense of all, balancing new lecturing duties along with my education. Again, I decided to put my faith and trust in God's provision, asking that if this is his will, he would pull me through. Sure enough, he did just that!

Through this experience, I am assured that I can place my trust in God's will and provision in any part of life: career, school, health, relationships, etc! He has a plan for my life just as he does yours and if we decide to follow him, I believe he will guide us on that path.
