What to Expect
On Sunday mornings we gather from 10:30am to around noon for worship with singing, prayers, historical liturgies, preaching, and Communion.
Our music incorporates contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns. We observe the Lord's Supper at the end of every Sunday service, but participation is voluntary, based on each person's examination of the faith in his or her own heart. We don't pass the elements down the rows, so no one notices if you choose not to get up and partake.
To know more about how we conduct our service and why, check out this document we wrote to explain the various elements of our service: Westside Worship 101.

Nursery & Childcare
The mission of the Atlanta Westside Church nursery is to provide a safe, caring, and inviting environment for children; to ensure that their church times are joyful; and to provide a foundation for their developing faith. Nursery care is available for infants, toddlers, and children under four years during every Sunday morning worship service. The nursery opens at 10:15 A.M.
This class is for children aged four years old through first graders and focuses on training in the elements of worship. Children are released for their service just before the sermon begins and are brought back to observe the time of Communion afterwards. Those who choose to remain for the sermon are always welcome to sit with their parents throughout the adult service.
The Westside Youth Group, for all 5th-12th graders, hosts a Sunday school class from 9:15-10:15AM during the school year. Please contact the church office to get involved.
Sunday School for children and adults is available from 9:15-10:15AM during the school year with a break between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
There’s no single standard for what’s appropriate to wear, so use your own judgment. Most people don’t feel obligated to dress too formally, though some choose to, and others just wear whatever’s comfortable to them. Regardless, just remember that your presence is the main thing.
